Pumpkin Festival 2017
Once again we held our end of season Pumpkinfest on Sunday 29 October 2017, at the West Side marquee and about 100 joined us for pumpkin soup, barbecue and drinks around the bonfire. This was for members and their families, with a nominal charge for each burger/sausage and, of course, we catered for children and vegetarians. The bonfire was built on the car park area during the afternoon. Festivities started around 5:30pm with the lighting of the bonfire.
Soup, burgers, veggie things, beer, wine and soft drinks were provided. We also welcomed contributions of chutneys, relishes, cakes and desserts etc, along with pumpkins which were donated for the soup!
There were prizes for the best carved pumpkins.
